The Ripple Effect

A small pebble skips across the lake’s surface,

then it sinks to the bottom.

After it is seen no more,

the rippling effect spreads wider and wider

across the surface.

Even when the pebble can no longer be seen,

its actions it had made,

still influences

what it had touched,

in the time it was there.
