Shades of a Rainbow
Shades of a Rainbow

From light to night; from fade to shade,

Colors are cast into a cascade.

From a light fiery red; to a deep dark maroon,

From the orangey orange; to a sundown soon.

From the hue of a banana; to the pencil of lead,

From the blue of the sky; to the ocean’s sea bed.

From the grass on the ground; to the trees in the sky,

From the tinted blue-purple; to the dark indigo’s fly.

From light lavender flowers; to deep purple grapes,

The world is full of many colorful escapes.
