Lost in Cyber Space

As I travel all around,

many faces can be found.

Staring into glowing screens, 

missing true life and what it means.

Their minds are lost in another dimension,

as their bodies are filled with unrealistic tension.

But to them, this world is way too real.

They’ve forgotten humanity, and how to feel.

Just like zombies, they roam the land,

unwilling to make a difference, unwilling to stand.

As they are blinded by their synthetic screens,

wolves gather round like ravaging fiends.

In pacts they gather, and try to steal,

the unknowing's rights as their next meal.

"We know what is good for you, we’ll tell you your rights.

There’s no need to stand up; there’s no need to fight.

Just give us your votes, and we’ll do the rest.

Give us control, we know what’s best!"

Do not listen to all of their lies,

for if you do, then Freedom dies.
