Eerie Shadows

Darkness tries to rule, as it covers in the night,
casting eerie shadows, unknown amongst noon's light.
They seem to slink around, moving in bare trees,
bringing the bravest souls, quivering to their knees.
Time appears forever forsaken, frozen in midnight's air.
How much more can one poor soul, seem to continue bare?
