Though a Storm May Rage
Though a Storm May Rage

Though a storm rages causing waves of calamity to surge up and pound me from every possible angle,

I have a calming peace snuggled warmly in the very depth of my soul.

I know this is the place God resides and reassures me that He is always there for me.

God is far greater than all the storms of life.

He lovingly guides me to safety.

This world will not drown me in its sorrows.

I will not go down into the Abyss of Fear.

I choose to take the hand of my Savior and look into His loving eyes.

I refuse to look at the raging storm all around me.

I choose to walk above it all.

I will walk on the water with my Deliverer.

(After I wrote this poem, I heard a very profound message on the radio.

Someone said, "It doesn’t matter how much water is in the ocean.

The water cannot sink your boat unless you let it inside.”)
