The Mediocre Mindset

You do just enough, just to get by,
so, under the radar, you can fly.
Only doing what you must,
so, your skills turn slowly to rust.
So afraid to break a sweat.
Instead of work, you place a bet.
You gamble your future and are unaware.
You lose your destiny, because you didn’t care.

Sometimes we don't feel like doing things
that we know we should. We talk ourselves into
believing we will do them later.
Other times we do just enough
to say that we did what we should have,
but we know we could have done better.
Even when we don't feel like it,
we should always do our best
in whatever we do.
In the end,
When we stand before God,
We will be glad we did.
